I think the answer is a USB external sound card, no conflicts and handy to use on other computers. I would install them again or download the latest ones asus m2n-mx se sound the ASUS website. It will then do a search for a driver.
Is there any other cards installed in the PC? Also have you tried updating the drivers directly through Device Manager? In device manager it says I have a PCI device that requires asus m2n-mx se sound.
Ok I did a reformat and still the same problem. I tried many things, but es the end, found that by reinstall of windows, and installing the Audio drivers first, I was able to get it working.

Try going through the Device Manager and clicking on the Device and updating the drivers through there. Ok here is something else you can try. And are you using this?
